French Kiss
The other night a friend of mine decided to shoot photos in a club and I thought I could join him and experiment with videos. I equipped my Canon 550D (t2i) for that purpose with a Sigma 30mm f/1.4, a LCD Viewfinder, a LED panel and a Rode videomic and shot everything handeld in 1080p - 24fps. I decided not to shoot wide open as it's pretty hard to nail focus so I was at 2.8 and used the LED panel with a diffuser and warm filter for the extra bit of light. Even though sound is pretty loud in clubs, thanks to Magic Lantern I managed to record decent audio by switching off the Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and reducing the analog and digital gain level to its minimum. Of course, recording audio was more of a 'stress test' than anything for me as I knew I wouldn't use it in post.
I edited the footages in Premiere Pro CS5.5 and color corrected using Colorista II. The final motion graphic is done using After Effects. The music is from Swedish Mafia House - Save the world tonight.
I will try to post some of my friend's photos as soon as he finishes editing them.
