Photoshoot with Thalia and Paloma
A few weeks ago, a friend of mine (Georgios), found an abandoned facility that looked perfect for a potential photoshoot. We had to go there in reconnaissance!
The place was perfect. There were long alleys with odd shaped pillars and warm sunlight poring through very large windows. The place was safe enough to bring a model. Perfect! Now we needed a model.. With only a few days left before I had to go back to UK, I didn’t have time to find one. Thankfully, my very resourceful brother managed to find me not one but two young ladies: Thalia and Paloma. They were willing to go in a remote abandoned placed with an unknown guy to take photos… Does it sounds dodgy? Come on, I’m a professional! (thank you ladies! ). Now, Paloma and Thalia never modelled before and I never really directed/posed models before. Fair enough, challenge accepted. To avoid any unnecessary complications, I decided to work as much as possible with available light. At some point I did try a few shots with an octagonal softbox but went back to natural light. We didn’t use the entire potential of the building so I hope to go back there one day for another photoshoot. Now, for a very first try, I believe we did a good job and I’m looking forward to do more of these! Thanks again to Thalia, Paloma, David and Georgios
