The Queen’s Diamond jubilee 2012

I was in London this weekend and therefore had the opportunity attend the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee event on the Thames. Well, chances are, if you watched the royal pageant on TV, you saw more than I did! The crowd was so dense I couldn’t get close enough to the river’s embankments to enjoy what was the biggest collection of historic vessels ever assembled on the Thames. To be honest it didn’t really matter as I was more interested by the crowd itself. I wanted to join the masses and feel the party atmosphere in London’s streets celebrating the Queens’s 60 years of reigns! Here’s a selection of the photos I took that day (Some of them were taken the day before).

Why not? It was an artistic choice and I wanted to keep some consistency :)

There is no blue! red! white! the colours which make uk citizens proud !
also… a sh*t load of money was spent producing these colours, on mass, just for this event… but yes, its artsy and consistent i guess

@ Kiv Efehe : since when Black and White pictures does not contain a white color palette?

I totally agree with Kiv Efehe ! Claude, why didn’t you use colors for your pictures ? I always made the same criticism to William Shakespeare : This writer was limited to a very poor vocabulary instead of using a vocabulary which make uk current citizens proud like “fucking, asshole or bullshit” ….
